What's with the change

Starting over

In our last newsletter, I shared a bit about our decision to reset our lives and take a new path. Today, I want to dive deeper into the reasons why we made this choice and what led us to this pivotal moment.

Why We Decided to Start All Over:

For a long time, I felt like I was living a life that wasn’t truly mine. I was following the expectations and rules set by others, almost on autopilot, without questioning if this was the life I wanted. It was a life filled with routines that didn’t bring fulfillment, and a career that, while stable, didn’t ignite passion within me. I realized I was just existing, not truly living.

The Wake-Up Call:

There comes a point when you wake up and realize that time is passing, and if you don’t make a change now, you might never get the chance. For me, that moment was realizing how much I was missing out on with my family—watching my kids grow up, being truly present with them, and enjoying the simple moments. The daily grind of a 9-5 job in HVAC sales, despite its security, was pulling me further away from the things that truly mattered to me.

Why We’re Embracing a Fresh Start:

  1. Family First: Our decision to sell the house and move into our trailer is all about creating more freedom for our family. We want our kids to have the space to play, explore, and be themselves without the constraints of a typical suburban life. This move allows us to spend more time together and focus on homeschooling, something that aligns with our values and our vision for their future.

  2. Living Authentically: I realized that living someone else’s version of success was not for me. Starting over is our way of choosing authenticity over conformity. We’re carving out a life that’s uniquely ours, where we set the rules and live according to what truly makes us happy.

  3. Prioritizing Health: A big part of this reset is taking care of ourselves, both physically and mentally. I’m committed to keeping my fitness on point because it’s not just about staying in shape—it’s about having the energy and clarity to be the best version of myself for my family and for me.

  4. Breaking Free from the 9-5: Leaving my corporate job was a huge leap, but it was necessary. I wanted more than just a paycheck; I wanted purpose. Now, I have the freedom to pursue projects and passions that truly resonate with me, without the constraints of a traditional job.

Choosing Your Own Path:

Starting over wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that life is too short to live it according to someone else’s script. If you feel like you’re stuck in a life that doesn’t fit, know that it’s never too late to make a change. Imagine the life you want, and then go after it with everything you’ve got.

We’re excited about this new chapter, and I hope our journey inspires you to take the steps necessary to live the life you’ve always dreamed of. Remember, you have the power to choose your own path—it’s your story to write.

Thanks for being on this journey with us.

Best,

Josh
