The Sounds We Can’t Hear — But Feel Every Day

Why Tuning into Frequencies Might Be the Missing Piece in Your Healing

We live in a world of frequencies.

Most of them we’ll never “hear” — but they shape everything from how we feel to how we think… even how we heal.

Since diving deeper into our healing journey, I’ve become fascinated by how sound and vibration affect our state of being. Not just through music, but through brainwave frequencies and the unseen energy all around us.

Let’s start with the brain.

The Five Core Brainwave States

Each brainwave is a frequency range — measured in Hertz (Hz) — that reflects how your mind and body are functioning.

  • Delta (0.5 – 4 Hz):
    Deep sleep, healing, subconscious repair
Think: the recovery zone — the body resets here.

  • Theta (4 – 8 Hz):
    Dreaming, meditation, intuition
This is where breakthroughs, childhood memories, and deep creativity live.

  • Alpha (8 – 12 Hz):
Relaxed alertness, flow state, calm focus
When we’re walking in nature or deep in breath work — this is alpha.

  • Beta (12 – 30 Hz):
    Waking consciousness, problem solving
Most of us live in this state — alert but often overwhelmed.

  • Gamma (30 – 100+ Hz):
    High-level cognition, bliss, expanded awareness
Peak states. Enlightenment. Those "a-ha" moments of universal connection.

These frequencies are like gears for your mind — each one has a purpose, but most of us are stuck in overdrive (beta) and forget how to shift.

That’s where sound frequencies come in.

Healing Through Sound

Certain frequencies can entrain the brain — meaning, they can gently guide it into a new state, like a tuning fork for your mind.

For example:

  • 432 Hz: Deep calming, said to align with Earth’s natural frequency

  • 528 Hz: Known as the “love frequency,” linked to DNA repair and heart-opening

  • 963 Hz: Crown chakra activation, higher consciousness

Even binaural beats (where each ear hears a slightly different tone) can bring your brain into a theta or alpha state, supporting meditation, sleep, or creativity.

We’re Literally Surrounded by Frequencies

Here’s the wild part:
Even things like light bulbs, Wi-Fi routers, and electric wires emit frequencies.

Just because we don’t hear them doesn’t mean they’re not impacting us.

That’s why stepping into nature, grounding, breathwork, and even sound detoxing is so important. These practices reconnect us to our original frequency — the one before the noise.

We’ve been doing more of this as a family.
Turning off tech.
Walking barefoot.
Using sound intentionally.
Even letting the silence speak sometimes.

Because healing isn’t always about adding more — sometimes it’s about listening to what’s already there.

I’ve created a simple Spotify playlist of some that we use daily. Just reply “Send me the vibes” and I’ll get it to you.
